Jess Grippo organized this powerful performance in front of the NYC Headquarters of Netflix as a way of bringing together OA Fans and showing our support. It was an amazing experience to be present for. There was this sort of hush that fell upon the surroundings while this was going on. The traffic, even though the performance was taking place on the sidewalk, stopped and—aside from just a couple of horn honks in the distance, everyone just waited pretty patiently (and maybe even spellbound, if they could see…or at least probably mystified at what the heck was taking place, if they’re not familiar with The OA). I had a hard time keeping the phone still as I was getting emotional watching. I’m so glad I got to be present for this. Putting it up here at the request of a friend. This is actually my first public YouTube video ever, and I love that it’s this one.
